Welcome
We are an active chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) with membership hovering at about 70 members. Beaver Chapter, NSDAR, holds the only evening meetings in the Portland metro area which allows for a wide variety of members to attend and be active in our chapter.
The name Beaver Chapter, NSDAR, was chosen in honor of the energetic, valuable beaver. Due to the desire of obtaining beaver pelts, pioneers came to Oregon and within four years more than 400,000 beavers were killed for their pelts. Despite almost being eliminated from large portions of its original range, it made nearly a complete recovery by the 1940s.

Our chapter members support historical preservation projects around Oregon.
Patriotism
Our chapter supports veterans, active-duty military, and citizens new and old of the United States.
